⦿ Groundhog Day Carols
Notes: Groundhog Day is celebrated in the U.S. and Canada every February 2nd.
Whether viewed as folklore’s harbinger of Spring or as maligned garden pest, as a euphemism for a triflin’ woman (?!?), as merely a handy lyrical device or just good eatin’, the groundhog stands tall in American popular song.

⦿ Overindulgent Valentine's Podcast, PART 2
Notes: It's easy enough to find songs about love.
It's also pretty simple to go out and find a Valentine's Day card.
A task that can prove to be just a bit trickier is trying to find that card or that song that might capture that particularly specific facet you'd like to express of the myriad permutations of love - - IF it can even be identified (and IF you think you can get away with it)...
Love is not always as simple as a card or a pop song.
It can be a complex and frightening rollercoaster ride.
A frustrating puzzle.
An elusive prize.
A necessary evil.
A lie. The truth. A joke.
A bump in the road, a reason for living.
And much more, or all of the above. Or something completely different.
Wheeee! Enjoy the ride.

⦿ An In Crowd 2/08 podcast
Notes: A typically unorthodox and jolly confluence, meandering from music in praise of the guitar to some different takes on Cole Porter, intersecting with threads of snot-flingin' '60's garage fuzz, acapella harmonies, space-age pop and more, and why not?
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 3/08 podcast
Notes: Tenuous connections lead from one piece of music to the next.
Said connections, tending toward intangibility, render attempts to pinpoint their origins difficult, to say nothing of pointless, and tired notes explaining the process lean heavily toward pretentiousness. (oops)
Whether the end result makes ANY LICK of sense in any suitable fashion is a query best answered: 'Who's to say - - But did you have fun?'
Do you 'get' it? Do you care if you don't?

⦿ An In Crowd 4/08 podcast
Notes: Music? Oh, sure, there's plenty of interesting music in the new podcast, yeah, whatever.
Also it seems I'm learning to do mic breaks all over again.
I'm accustomed to deejaying a live radio show, and announcing the usual patter and business between sets of music.
A music podcast is a shift in focus, somehow.
Please enjoy this 'cast, and indulge my only-occasional chatter while I scratch my head and ponder these slightly new-fangled angles of playing host.

⦿ An In Crowd 5/08 podcast
Notes: Spring arrived upbeat, the lusty month of May does too, but also comes with just a touch of traveling melancholia.
A few Latin rhythms herein, some jazz, some roots, some rock, some of something else, too, probably.
Did you notice that I chose to use an image of an old record to indicate a podcast? (in the original posting)
I suppose that might tell you something, right there...
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 6/08 podcast
Notes: Not specifically a batch of 'road music' per se - - or is it? Maybe that's up to you - - but a podcast assembled while doing some traveling.
'60's rock and British Blues, The Girl Group Sound then & now, gritty group vocal and other pleasant and scenic diversions...
...hopefully it'll get you moving!
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 7/08 podcast
Notes: A taste of fierce Latin boogaloo, a shot of blues and R&B, some vintage psychedelia and country twang, by way of some other stops on the road...
Any selections recorded in this century? Hmmm. Maybe not...

An In Crowd 8/08 podcast, PART 2
Notes: Hard and fast, hot and bothered, piss and vinegar Rock and Roll.
Though reasonably eclectic, the musical selections chosen from the past few decades for this special TWO-PART podcast have at least one common thread that ties them together. Give a listen and it's likely that you'll pick up on it pretty quickly...
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 9/08 podcast
Notes: Another eclectic kitchen-sink sampling, culled primarily from music that has crossed my path in recent weeks.
An intermittent blueish or downcast mood is inevitably drawn back towards the light.
- - For which I am thankful.
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 10/08 podcast
Notes: Playing music should be just that: Play.
Play. 'Cuz it's fun to play.
It's fun to hear lots of different music, and it's big fun to choose lots of different music, put it all together, and pretend that the choices flow and make sense.
Whee! It's fun to play!
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 11/08 podcast
Notes: Thanks are extended to my old friend Snappy for a few of the selections in this here 'cast...
Winds change, and waves crest, crash and build again.
Music shifts from downbeat to upbeat, shifts and swells, recedes and advances.
The music goes round and round, and on occasion, it comes out here.
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 12/08 podcast
Notes: Another batch of tunes to entertain and enlighten.
Old favorites, new favorites, and other hits and misses.
Assorted streams of mood that merge and fork as the flow changes.
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 2/09 podcast
Notes: A return to a recurring assemblage of musical selections.
Choices that have wandered into focus recently, grouped in a manner that pretended to make sense - - at least at the time.
Sounds that entertained and enlightened me; hopefully you'll feel the same.
Enjoy!
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 5/09 podcast
Notes: Some music for you!
Music to distract and delight.
Music from hither and yon, music from then and now (mostly then).
Music crossing your path and leading you astray.
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
⦿ An In Crowd 7/09 podcast
Notes: If the mood starts out worrisome, never fear - -
- - There's not energy enough to sustain the darkness for too very long.
Gloom dissipates! Enjoy!
